Bitcoin Creative Contest – Official Rules

BY PARTICIPATING IN THE PROMOTION, YOU AGREE TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THE KRAKEN.COM TERMS OF SERVICE, WHICH EACH FORM A CONTRACT. READ THEM CAREFULLY BEFORE ENTERING. NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR FUNDING NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE OR WIN. PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR FUNDING WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. Sponsor (“Kraken”)

2. Eligible Areas

The Promotion is open to eligible customers residing in jurisdictions where Kraken services are available and where participation in such promotions is permitted under applicable law.

Residents of the United Kingdom are not eligible to participate.

Participation is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

3. Promotion Period

The Promotion begins on March 24 at 10:00 and ends on March 29 at 23:59 (the “Promotion Period”). Kraken reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Promotion at any time.

4. How to Participate

To participate in the Promotion, you must:

  • Follow @krakenfx_pl on the designated social media platform;

  • Respond to the promotional post by answering the question:
    “How would you explain Bitcoin to your grandma in one sentence?”

  • Submit a creative response during the Promotion Period.

Limit: One (1) entry per participant.

No purchase, payment, or account funding is required to enter.

5. Determination of Winners

This is a contest based on skill. Winners will be selected based on the most creative responses, as determined by Kraken in its sole discretion.

Five (5) winners will be selected.

6. Prizes

Each winner will receive:

  • €20 in Bitcoin (BTC) (Approximate Retail Value: €20)

Rewards will be credited to the winner’s Kraken account within 30 days of confirmation of compliance with these Terms.

Limit: One (1) prize per participant.
The reward is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and may not be redeemed for cash. Kraken may substitute a reward of equal or greater value at its sole discretion.

7. Eligibility to Participate in the Promotion

You are eligible to participate if you:

  • Reside in an Eligible Area;

  • Agree to the Kraken.com Terms of Service;

  • Agree to these Rules and comply with all requirements;

  • Are not otherwise ineligible under applicable law.

By entering, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.

8. Disqualification

Kraken reserves the right to disqualify any participant if, in its sole discretion, it determines that the participant has:

  • Violated these Rules or the Kraken Terms of Service;

  • Submitted false or misleading information;

  • Engaged in fraudulent, abusive, or manipulative behavior;

  • Attempted to submit multiple entries or circumvent entry limits.

9. Notification of Winners

Winners may be notified via the social media platform or via Kraken account communication. Rewards will be credited within 30 days after verification of eligibility and compliance.

Kraken may require additional information prior to awarding the prize.

10. Consents and Approvals

By entering the Promotion, you agree that any content submitted may be used by Kraken and its affiliated entities for promotional and marketing purposes.

You consent to receive communications from Kraken and to Kraken’s use of your personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy: .

If you are selected as a winner, you acknowledge that your identifying information may be disclosed as required for administration, legal, or tax purposes.

11. Disclaimers

Kraken is not responsible for any technical failures, internet issues, or other factors that may prevent participation.

Kraken and its affiliates are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from participation in the Promotion or acceptance of any prize, including due to events beyond their control (force majeure).

12. Limitation of Liability, Disputes, and Governing Law

By participating, you release Kraken and its affiliates from any claims arising out of participation in the Promotion or use of any prize.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • All disputes will be resolved individually (no class actions);

  • Damages are limited to actual out-of-pocket costs not exceeding $25;

  • No punitive, incidental, or consequential damages may be awarded;

  • No injunctive or equitable relief may be sought.

Any dispute arising under or related to this Promotion shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.

All disputes shall be resolved by confidential binding arbitration in London, England, under LCIA rules. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Kraken may seek equitable relief in any court where appropriate.

13. Taxes

Participants are solely responsible for any taxes arising from receipt of the prize. Kraken does not provide tax advice.

14. General Rules

Kraken reserves the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or terminate the Promotion at any time;

  • Disqualify any participant acting in violation of these Rules;

  • Make final and binding decisions regarding all aspects of the Promotion.

If any provision of these Rules is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

This Promotion is subject to all applicable laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
